BRITISH master painter and printmaker, Patrick Caulfield is best known for his POP artworks,
Trained at the Chelsea School of Art and Royal College of Art, his first one- man show was held at the Robert Fraser Gallery, London, in 1965.
While he generally uses traditional subject matter, like landscapes and still- life, his style and approach to art, is reminiscent of Pop art.
White Ware Prints is a portfolio of eight screenprints made at Advanced Graphics, a fine art print workshop in London. It was published in an edition of forty-five with thirteen proofs of each image by Waddington Graphics, London. Print is signed by the artist and inscribed ‘20/45’ below the lower right corner of the background set in a broad white margin.
In the White Ware series, the predominant colour scheme is black and white. The subject of each print is a single white ceramic pot represented against a dark background.
