Known as the father of the Urban Realist movement in France, Andre Renoux has been documenting the streets of Paris for over thirty years. Renoux’s art education includes studies at the Ecole des Art Decoratifs,Nice and the Ecole Superieure des Arts Modernes, Paris.
His art has been the subject of three monographs, numerous film documentaries, television broadcasts, catalogues and books. His paintings and graphic work are found in public and private collections worldwide including that of Jacques Chirac, former President of France. Renoux’s art captures an ambience that is timeless. His streets and buildings are at once realistic and nostalgic; they emphasize the grace of an era past and present.
