James Farrah

James Farrah has been involved with automotives as an artist and at race tracks for over 20 years. His earlier art involved antique and classic cars. In the early 1980s he became a nationally licensed corner worker. Corner workers stand at the turns during races to wave flags, put out fires, etc. Farrah traveled the country working Indy Car, Formula 1, NASCAR, Trans Am, Can Am, SCCA Pro and Club Racing, Vintage, Pikes Peak, as well as other races.Being close to the action led him to do auto racing related art.

Most of his work is done in watercolor, he also does canvases in oil and acrylics. He produced a series of pen and ink works – many of which were published by Road & Track magazine.Now a resident of Arizona, Farrah graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a BFA in painting, photography, and graphic design. He is a signature member of the American Watercolor Society, the National Watercolor Society and the Western Federation of Watercolor Societies
